Assignment: Design Your Own Propaganda
- Now that you are familiar with the devices used to promote ideologies and messages in visual media, it is your turn to develop a visual message that promotes an ideology or message of your own.
- You are part of a conflict brought on by 2 ‘countries’ claiming a foreign planet as their own territory. As a class, define the planet and why it might be desirable.
- The class will be separated in two (2) groups. Each group will define their own ficticious nation. They will define the ideology and values of their respective groups, create a propaganda poster artifact, based on your own ficticious country and/ or party.
- The poster needs to illustrate a message that encourages the country’s citizen’s to support the war effort. Your work will then be displayed on the blog and critiqued by your peers, following a rubric provided below.
- You may use any graphic software or physical artefact (scanned, photographed or downloaded) to create your poster. You final poster must be a digital jpeg file.
